Untangling the Tangle — Coming Alive
A Two-Day Retreat for Women
Monday, July 16th (9:00 a.m.) to Tuesday, July 17 (4:00 p.m.)
Light on The Hill Retreat Center
Van Etten, New York
Led by Dalya Tamir
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
Howard Thurman
The retreat will be a tapestry of silent meditation periods, song, dance, and sharing circles. As a community of women we will call forth our aliveness. We will courageously explore habits of mind and heart that keep us tangled. We will hold the question: What does it mean for me, in this embodiment , as a woman, to come alive?
Cost: $100 to cover lodging, meals, and incidental expenses. (To keep cost low, the first lunch will be a dish to pass). Following the Buddhist tradition, teachings are offered freely, the community in return supports the teachers. Donations will be accepted at the end of the retreat. Suggested donation: $50-75.
We will be lodging in the Cottages at Light on the Hill. Camping is available.
Light on the Hill has two wonderful ponds. Each woman will be responsible for her precious life. We will take some safety precautions regarding swimming.
