A Marriage of Meditation and Yoga

A Silent Retreat Led by Jeff Collins and Gisela Konrad

August 3 – August 7, 2016

Light on the Hill Retreat Center
Van Etten, New York

Silent Retreat-Jeff

This silent retreat will flow from periods of sitting meditation (on cushions or chairs) to walking meditation to several periods of yoga practice each day. The yoga is grounded in the tradition of viniyoga, a style that is in turn grounded in awareness of breath and the physical movement that flows out of that breath awareness. So the awareness work moves seamlessly from meditation in seated stillness to meditation in movement. Beginners to yoga and meditation are very welcome.

The cost of the retreat will be $500 for a single room, and the vegetarian meals provided by Light on the Hill staff. This $500 only covers the actual expenses of putting on the retreat. A basket will be put out at the end of the retreat for a donation (dana offering) to the teachers.

To sign up, please send a $150 deposit to Jeff Collins, 312 First Street, Ithaca, NY 14850, along with your name, address, phone number and email address. Because of Light on the Hill’s deposit requirements, we will not be able to refund the deposit for any cancellations made less than six weeks before the beginning of the retreat. If you have questions, you can call, text or email (Jeff  607-279-5590; tsultrim312@gmail.com), or Gisela (607-279-3668; gisela@maitristudioithaca.com).
